Conditions of this publication

Use these guides to understand questions and limitations. Do not use them as operating instructions for a bridge or as a substitute for qualified advice.

Publisher and scope

This website is published by Maplehorizonbanter Infrastructure Media Ltd, company no. 15076328, registered office: 31 Grey Street, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 6EE, United Kingdom. Contact [email protected] about these terms.

The site provides independent, general educational information about AI-assisted bridge structural monitoring. It does not supply an engineering assessment, inspection service, monitoring contract, professional appointment or safety certification. Reading the site or sending an editorial enquiry does not create an engineering adviser-client relationship.

No asset-specific safety conclusion

Content does not determine whether a bridge is safe, damaged, fit for use or in need of closure. Such decisions require the responsible asset authority and appropriately qualified professionals, considering relevant evidence and requirements. A detected measurement change is not equivalent to a diagnosed defect. Absence of an alert is not proof of an absence of defects.

Do not derive operational thresholds, inspection intervals, load restrictions or emergency actions from our examples. If an immediate hazard is suspected, use the appropriate emergency or asset-owner channel. The website and editorial mailbox are not incident-reporting services.

Illustrations, references and currency

Schematic signal traces are explanatory drawings, not live or historical monitoring records. They have no operational units or validated alarm limits. Component photographs do not establish the condition of any named asset. Bridge names illustrate context unless a specific, supported statement says otherwise.

We aim to explain the subject accurately, but information can become incomplete or outdated. Standards, national provisions and owner requirements change. Verify current editions, applicability and source material before relying on any reference in professional work. External links are provided for convenience, not as an endorsement or guarantee of their content or continued availability.

We are not affiliated with the bridge owners, public authorities, standards organisations or professional institutions referenced on the site.
